  • Heavy rain & landslide concerns continue

Several parts of Himachal Pradesh are facing disruption due to heavy rainfall, flash floods and landslide risks. Authorities are monitoring vulnerable areas and advising caution.


  • Kalka–Shimla toy train services suspended

Four Kalka–Shimla narrow-gauge train services have been suspended until August 5 due to landslide risks caused by heavy rain.


  • Supreme Court warning over Punjab–Himachal power dues

The Supreme Court has criticised Punjab for not complying with an old ruling related to power-sharing dues connected with projects benefiting Himachal Pradesh. 


  • Roads and infrastructure affected

Rain-triggered damage has led to road closures and safety alerts in parts of the state, with districts such as Chamba among the affected areas.


  • Tourism & weather advisory

Tourists and local residents are advised to stay alert, especially near rivers, streams and landslide-prone mountain roads during the active monsoon period.

धर्मशाला छात्रा मौ-त मामला : - राजकीय प्राध्यापक संघ ने तुरंत बैठक बुलाई, एसपी कांगड़ा से भी मुलाकात की

हिमाचल प्रदेश के कांगड़ा जिले के धर्मशाला कॉलेज में पढ़ने वाली छात्रा की मौ-त पर उसके परिजनों ने गंभीर आरोप लगाए हैं। कॉलेज के प्रोफेसर और तीन विद्यार्थियों पर मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया है। शुक्रवार को कॉलेज परिसर में मामले पर एक आपात बैठक हुई। हिमाचल राजकीय प्राध्यापक संघ की राजकीय महाविद्यालय धर्मशाला इकाई की एक आपात बैठक शुक्रवार को कॉलेज परिसर में आयोजित की गई। बैठक की अध्यक्षता संघ अध्यक्ष डॉ. विक्रम श्रीवत्स तथा महासचिव डॉ. आशीष रंजन ने की। बैठक का मुख्य विषय सोशल मीडिया पर छात्रा के साथ रैगिंग, मारपीट और अश्लील हरकत रहा। बैठक में संबंधित महाविद्यालय के एक प्राध्यापक पर लगाए जा रहे गंभीर आरोपों के संबंध में विचार-विमर्श किया गया। बैठक की शुरुआत सत्र 2024-25 की एक छात्रा के निधन पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त करते हुए की गई तथा दिवंगत छात्रा के परिजनों के प्रति संवेदना प्रकट की गई। इस संवेदनशील प्रकरण से जुड़े कुछ महत्वपूर्ण तथ्यों को बैठक में प्रस्तुत किया गया, जिनमें यह स्पष्ट किया गया कि संबंधित छात्रा सत्र 2024-25 की छात्रा थी और वर्तमान शैक्षणिक सत्र में उसका राजकीय महाविद्यालय धर्मशाला में क...

हिमाचल प्रदेश : - आईआईटी मंडी की खोज: कांगड़ा में पर्याप्त पानी, मंडी में संतुलन और कुल्लू में संकट

IIT मंडी के वैज्ञानिकों ने ब्यास बेसिन पर एक अध्ययन किया है जो स्पष्ट रूप से बता सकता है कि भूजल कहां उपलब्ध है और कहां आने वाले वर्षों में पानी की किल्लत बढ़ने वाली है। हिमाचल प्रदेश में गहराते जल संकट के बीच अब अंधेरे में तीर चलाने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ेगी। भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (आईआईटी) मंडी के वैज्ञानिकों ने ब्यास बेसिन पर एक ऐसा शोध किया है, जिससे यह साफ पता चल सकेगा कि भूजल कहां उपलब्ध है और कहां आने वाले वर्षों में पानी की किल्लत बढ़ने वाली है। रिमोट सेंसिंग और जीआईएस आधारित इस नई वैज्ञानिक पद्धति से पूरे ब्यास बेसिन को अलग-अलग भूजल जोन में बांटकर एक विस्तृत नक्शा तैयार किया गया है, जो नीति निर्धारण और जल प्रबंधन के लिए मील का पत्थर साबित होगा। शोध के निष्कर्षों के अनुसार पश्चिमी ब्यास बेसिन के इलाके भूजल की दृष्टि से सबसे समृद्ध पाए गए हैं। इसमें कांगड़ा जिला, देहरागोपीपुर, ज्वालामुखी, ज्वाली, नूरपुर, पौंग बांध क्षेत्र, धर्मशाला के निचले क्षेत्र और ऊना सीमा से सटे इलाके शामिल हैं। इन क्षेत्रों को बहुत अधिक और अधिक भूजल उपलब्धता वाले जोन में रखा गया है। मध्य ब्यास बेसिन में मं...
