Four Kalka–Shimla narrow-gauge train services have been suspended until August 5 due to landslide risks caused by heavy rain.


  • Supreme Court warning over Punjab–Himachal power dues

The Supreme Court has criticised Punjab for not complying with an old ruling related to power-sharing dues connected with projects benefiting Himachal Pradesh. 


  • Roads and infrastructure affected

Rain-triggered damage has led to road closures and safety alerts in parts of the state, with districts such as Chamba among the affected areas.


  • Tourism & weather advisory

Tourists and local residents are advised to stay alert, especially near rivers, streams and landslide-prone mountain roads during the active monsoon period.
